What happens when you invite thousands of New York’s biggest sneakerheads, hottest DJ’s and star athletes?  The Rare Soles Expo. On the morning of September 21st, vendors from the most respected sneaker and clothing brands set up shop inside the Collins Arena at Brookdale Community College. Guests arrived on time and ready to shop limited edition, hard-to-find, best-selling and just plain awesome sneakers. Buying, selling and trading, sneakerheads bumped with Joe Budden, DJ Enuff and Emcee Hypefeet who brought the beats and energy to the arena. DJ Enuff hosted the sneaker battle and provided the music, Joe Budden kept the crowd hyped, and Emcee Hypefeet interacted with fans on the arena floor. Basketball fans had the chance to meet and great with newest Knicks baller Tim Hardaway Jr. and high school phenom Karl-Anthony Towns Jr. made an appearance. Rare Breed Footwear, Sneaker Ferry, Lace Locks, Born on the 7th Multimedia, and Sneaker Buck were just a few of the all-star sponsors on the floor. Guests snagged giftbags filled with sneaker swag and Slam’s KICKS Magazine, entered a contest for free timepieces from iKen Watches, and sipped on Zico Coconut water. Also in attendance? Kickasso Kustoms, Bearded Brothers, Sneaker Lounge, Key Socks, MC Slick and mega partner Mama Lama.
